SprAyed concrete (shotcrete)

Sprayed Concrete, also known as Shotcrete, is a concrete that is conveyed to its installation points in a firmly sealed pipe or hose system where it is afterwards pneumatically applied by means of a high-speed spray nozzle and thereafter compacted due to its impact energy. There are two spraying methods: dry spraying and wet spraying. In the case of dry spraying, a special freely floating dry mix is conveyed to the mixing nozzle by means of an air pressure current and then moistened with water in the nozzle ring. In the case of wet spraying, on the other hand, an already earth-damp concrete mix is conveyed to the spray nozzle by means of a mortar pump.

Our hydraulically bonded dry sprayed concrete (CreteoShot®) was developed in cooperation with Röfix and is characterized by high strength, water impermeability, and durability. Both dry and wet sprayed concretes are especially used when, for example, it comes to the sealing of surfaces, excavation safety measures on construction sites, rock consolidation measures, or with tunnelling projects.
